Using the vector cross product formula and combining it with the trigonometric dot product, we find that we can express the sine of the non-reflex angle between two vectors in terms of the cross product. Another way of thinking about it is that the magnitude of the cross product is related to the sine of the aforementioned angle. We dervive this formula in this video.
